Mahendra Educational Trust

Mahendra Engineering College is the founding Engineering Institution of Mahendra Educational Trust (MET). The College was started in 1995 with three branches of engineering, namely B.E.Computer Science Engineering, B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.E. Mechanical Engineering, approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Madras. Today, the College offers several Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Computer Applications and Applied Sciences. The Students strength has grown from 180 in 1995 to about 2500 in 2008. The College is now affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore. The total built-up area of the present infrastructural facility is 31,970 sq.m.

The College is an ISO 9001 - 2000 Certified Institution and, B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.E.Mechanical Engineering,B.E. Computer Science and Engineering, B.E.Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and B.Tech Information Technology Programmes are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

The College is situated in a sprawling campus of 130 acres in rural sylvan surroundings and is free from pollution. The College stands as colossus at Mahendhirapuri on Salem - Tiruchengode - Erode state highway, 27 Km from Salem and 33 Km from Erode and is well connected to all major cities, Industrial centres across the country through railway and road network. The area is characterized by educational promotion and economic transformation.

Teckofes'13

As a part of the cultural development initiatives, Mahendra Institution, introduce Teckofes13, Which provide platform for showcase of budding talents from across the country.

This festival features events such as technical, non-technical, culturals, variety entertainments on-the spot events and fun events to name a few. In addition to this "Techofes-13" will features proshow where celebrities from film industry will perform.
